Up for sale is a find from a large collection of Turquoise pieces acquired at Auction, a Vintage Art Deco Natural Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Mother of Pearl, Red Jasper & Onyx Intarsia Inlay Solid Hand Engraved Sterling Silver Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Vintage 1950's Solid Sterling Silver Ring is set with a Beautiful 10x8mm Natural Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Mother of Pearl, Red Jasper & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay. Gemstone. Intarsia inlay is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. This GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. The VIVID BLUE inlay is Natural Lapis Lazuli with tiny glittering flecks of Natural Pyrite. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using Lapis based blues. This high quality Lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression.The green gemstone is Natural Malachite. Malachite has been carved into art and worn as jewelry for thousands of years. The red is Natural Red Jasper which is a variety of agate. The white is Mother of Pearl and the black is onyx. The gemstones have silver wire band that separate them. This inlay gemstone is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. Aside from a small chip in the malachite this intarsia gemstone is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION free of any additional cracks, nicks, chips or scratches. This Solid Sterling Silver Setting has Great Hand Engraved Shoulder Details in the form of hand dimpled texturing. The darker oil slick look in the details and recessed areas is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age. If you would like us to polish the ring further to remove this patina just let us know, it is no problem at all. This ring is fully hallmarked "STERLING" and tests as and is guaranteed to be Solid Sterling Silver.
