Up for sale is a recent Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco 4ct Emerald Cut Ruby Hand Milgrained & Engraved10k Solid White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This Original Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid White Gold ring is set with an Amazing 4ct 10x8mm Ruby with the most Vibrant COLOR and SUPERB CLARITY & LUSTER. This ruby is a Emerald Cut Ruby with Scissor Cut Sides. An Emerald Cut is an octagonal cut with the corners cut at 45 degrees to protect them from damage. The openings in the corners of the setting allow light to reflect into the underside of the ruby illuminating it.The gemstone tests as a ruby on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer but still could be a very high quality lab grown ruby. The gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural ruby as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown ruby. A Lab Grown Ruby has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Ruby meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. This Ruby is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. classic 1920's Art Deco ring also has fantastic Hand Milgrained & Engraved details accenting the ornate elements on the shoulders of the setting and around the bezel. Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished white gold. This ring is fully hallmarked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold.
