This HEAVY 10.0 Gram (0.35 Ounce) Whopping Over 1/3 Ounce Antique 1920's Art Deco SIGNED LaFrance of New York 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a RARE LARGE Beautiful 18x13mm Natural Turquoise Jasper Carnelian Lapis Onyx & Malachite Intarsia Inlay. Intarsia inlay is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. This GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. The translucent ORANGE gemstone is Natural Carnelian Agate with a RED dot of Jasper under it under it that represents a sunrise. Carnelian has a long and storied past, and was once considered strictly the property of the noble class. People holding a high social status were often buried with this gemstone. The brown gemstones are also jasper, particularly picture jasper. When cut or polished, this jasper can show very detailed images on its surface that look very much like scenes or pictures. They are the mountains in the landscape, The two green trees inlaid into the picture jasper are Natural Malachite with tiny Lapis inlaid details. Malachite has been carved into art and worn as jewelry for thousands of years. The VIVID BLUE inlay in the center and in the trees is Natural Lapis Lazuli and represents a lake the base of the mountains.
