Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, a Antique 1920's Art Deco LARGE 6ct GOLDEN SAPPHIRE 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Beautiful LARGE 6ct 12x10mm Sapphire with amazing GOLDEN COLOR and NEAR PERFECT CLARITY. This sapphire has AMAZING LUSTER. This sapphire is a rectangular baguette cut with a larger reflective table. The gemstone tests as a sapphire on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer but still could be a very high quality lab grown sapphire. This gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural sapphire as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown sapphire. A Lab Grown Sapphire has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Sapphire meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. Aside from a tiny edge abrasion this sapphire is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, breaks, or chips. This classic ring also has great fluted shoulder details. The interior of the ring is stamped "HANDWROUGHT" meaning fashioned by hand or chiefly by hand processes. The culet (bottom of the gemstone) protrudes a tiny bit under the ring (see photo #11) but it is not sharp at all. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is marked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
