Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco LARGE 9ct RARE Barrel Cut Blue Spinel & Two Diamond Hand Milgrained 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold ring is set with an Amazing LARGE 9ct 14x12mm RARE Barrel Cut Blue Spinel with the most Vibrant DEEP BLUE COLOR and NEAR PERFECT CLARITY. This spinel has SUPERB LUSTER. This spinel is RARE Barrel Cut with long parallel facets that resemble a barrel. The Spinel Gemstone has a storied history because famous rubies & sapphires in crown jewels around the world are actually spinels. The most famous is the Black Prince's ruby was actually a stunning 170-carat red spinel that now adorns the Imperial State Crown of England in the British Crown Jewels. The spinel is now a treasured gemstone on its own, spinel is a favorite of gem dealers and collectors because if its brilliance, hardness and wide range of spectacular colors. This gemstone tests as a spinel on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer and is a very high quality lab grown spinel. A Lab Grown Spinel has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Spinel meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. The waves and swirls on the spinal in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections because the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This ring also features Two 1.5mm Natural & Genuine Diamonds expertly bead set in Triangular Hand Milgrained white gold mounts. Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. Both Diamonds have nice clarity and color. Both diamonds are guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. Both diamonds are in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. Aside from two tiny pinpoint fleabite nicks this spinel is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION free of any additional nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. This classic ring has great ornate raised shoulder details. The culet (point at the bottom) protrudes under the ring (see photo #11) but rounded and is not sharp at all. We measured the size ( it is a size 8 ) of the ring on a mandrel with a groove that accommodates the bottom of the gemstone so consider this information when you are making fit decisions. We always suggest getting any ring sized to your finger type and size by your local jeweler to ensure a proper fit. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold.
