Up for sale is a recent Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco LARGE RAINBOW RARE Black Natural Opal Handwrought 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a LARGE FANTASTIC 16x12mm RAINBOW(ELECTRIC GREEN FIRE, RARE RED/ORANGE GOLDEN & BLUE FIRE) BLACK Triplet Opal. Again this is opal has VIVID RAINBOW fire, that is visible across the opal. Also the luster of this opal is marvelous. Many opals only exhibit a couple of colors while this fantastic opal displays a RAINBOW of colors. This is a triplet opal where the brightest genuine & natural solid opal is mounted on backing of onyx and then covered with a protective clear natural quartz crystal cap. We took quite a few photos of this stunning opal under different lighting conditions to give an idea of the abundance and brightness of the fire and where it occurs. The waves and swirls on the opal in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections as the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This Opal is a Domed Oval Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The opal is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This Classic 1920's Art Deco ring has great ridged shoulder details. The interior of the ring is stamped "HANDWROUGHT" meaning fashioned by hand or chiefly by hand processes. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is hallmarked "10k" (the "k" in "10k" has worn away) and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION will arrive ready to wear.
