Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Bloodstone Hand Engraved 10k Solid White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid White Gold ring is set with a Beautiful 17.5x12mm Natural Bloodstone Gemstone. This all natural Bloodstone also known as heliotrope has Beautiful Blood Red Drops in the dark green background. This Bloodstone is all natural and has not been color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. This Bloodstone is a Curved Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The curve of the gemstone follows the curve of the ring beautifully, Bloodstone is dark-green variety of the chalcedony that has nodules of bright-red jasper distributed throughout. Bloodstone derives its name fro the way the polished gemstone shows red spots on a dark-green background that resemble drops of blood. The waves on the bloodstone in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections on the highly polished surface that is difficult to photograph. This Bloodstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. All of our photos are taken using DAYLIGHT BULBS with a color temperature of 5000k so the colors in the photos are very close to what the ring would look like in outdoor sunlight. This bloodstone will appear darker in person and indoors. This Solid 10k White Gold Setting has beautiful hand engraved shoulder details. This ring is a Victorian Design but made in the Art Deco Period in White Gold that was invented in the 1920's and did not exist in the Victorian era. This ring is a comfortable solid back design. The recessed hole is the back is common in this type of setting and was used to set an initial in the gemstone if desired. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished white gold. This ring is fully hallmarked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k solid gold.
