Up for sale is a recent acquisition that is true work of art, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Jasper Carnelian Lapis Onyx & Malachite Intarsia Inlay Hand Engraved 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Men's Ring. This HEAVY 9.1 Gram (0.32 Ounce) Whopping Almost 1/3 Ounce Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold ring is set with a RARE LARGE Beautiful 20x15mm Natural Turquoise Jasper Carnelian Lapis Onyx & Malachite Intarsia Inlay. Intarsia inlay is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. This GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. The translucent ORANGE gemstone is Natural Carnelian Agate with a RED dot of Jasper under it under it that represents a sunrise. Carnelian has a long and storied past, and was once considered strictly the property of the noble class. People holding a high social status were often buried with this gemstone. The brown gemstones are also jasper, particularly picture jasper. When cut or polished, this jasper can show very detailed images on its surface that look very much like scenes or pictures. They are the mountains in the landscape, The two green trees inlaid into the picture jasper are Natural Malachite with tiny Lapis inlaid details. Malachite has been carved into art and worn as jewelry for thousands of years. The DARK BLUE inlay in the center and in the trees is Natural Lapis Lazuli and represents a lake the base of the mountains. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using Lapis based blues. Quality Lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression. The top and bottom borders are malachite with black and white onyx The entire intarsia inlay gemstone is on a base of onyx. This inlay gemstone is a rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This intarsia gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, chips or scratches. This Ornate 1920's Art Deco ring also has hand engraved shoulder details set in white gold. This is a HEAVY and Substantial 8.4 Gram (0.30 Ounce) Whopping Almost 1/3 Ounce 10k Solid Gold Ring. This ring is fully hallmarked "10kt" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) Aside from some gold detail wear and a small perforation on one corner of the bezel (see red arrow in photo #9) this ring is otherwise in GOOD CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
