Up for sale is an Estate Auction find from a collection of hard to find inlay pieces, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Lapis Lazuli, Red Jasper, Turquoise & Onyx Intarsia Inlay 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Fantastic 16x12mm Lapis Lazuli Red Jasper Turquoise & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay Gemstone It is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. All the gemstones in this intarsia are both Genuine & Natural and guaranteed as such. This INLAY GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. The center VIVID BLUE gemstone is Natural Lapis Lazuli with tiny glittering golden flecks of pyrite. The lapis has tiny gold wire inlaid as a border on the top and bottom. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using Lapis based blues. This high quality Lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression. The lighter blue gemstones are natural Turquoise. The red gemstones are Red Jasper. The red color comes from oxidized iron deposits in the silica based gem. The black gems are onyx. The entire intarsia gemstone is on a base of onyx. This inlay gemstone is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This intarsia gemstone is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION free of any cracks, or breaks. This classic ring also has great Deco column shoulder details. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is fully hallmarked “10k” and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k solid gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) Aside from some gold bezel wear in one corner this ring is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
