Up for sale is an Estate Auction find from a collection of hard to find inlay pieces, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Opal Turquoise & Lapis Lazuli Intarsia Inlay 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Fantastic 16x12mm Natural Opal Turquoise & Lapis Lazuli RARE Intarsia Inlay Gemstone. It is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. All the gemstones in this intarsia are both Genuine & Natural and guaranteed as such. This INLAY GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. The colorful seam surrounded by the chocolate brown ironstone is Natural Australian Boulder Opal. Boulder Opal is a beautiful and unique opal that has the brilliance of color. This opal looks like a bolt of colorful lighting. It is a unique form of opal because it is found as a mixture of precious opal and iron stone together. Boulder opal is considered to be one of the most versatile opals because it has all of the color and patterns of expensive black or crystals opals but it is mixed with iron stone which makes it extremely durable. The VIVID BLUE gemstone is Natural Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using Lapis based blues. This high quality Lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression. The top right triangle is Beautiful Natural Robin's Egg Blue Turquoise. The entire intarsia gemstone is on a base of lapis. This inlay gemstone is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut with beautifully beveled edges. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This intarsia gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, chips or scratches. This classic ring also has fantastic geometric triangular white gold shoulder details. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is fully hallmarked “10k” and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k solid gold.
