Up for sale is a recent find from a large collection of Turquoise pieces acquired at Auction, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural RARE Nevada Fox Mine Turquoise Hand Milgrained Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This 7.6 Gram (0.27 Ounce) Over 1/4 Ounce Antique 1920's Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Gold Men's Ring is set with a Beautiful 12x10mm RARE Fox Mine Turquoise Gemstone. The Fox Turquoise mine in Nevada opened in the early 1900's and has not been in major production since 1980. The Fox mine near Lander Country Nevada has also been known as the Cortez mine. A local Native American showed the turquoise to Charles Schmidtlein, who first developed it into a mine in 1914. This all natural turquoise has not been color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. This Turquoise is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The Color range of Fox Turquoise is from a soft sky blues to blue-green to green. This Turquoise with a golden matrix looks wonderful in the two-tone setting. The golden areas in the turquoise are not cracks but the natural matrix of the turquoise. This turquoise is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, scratches, or chips. This classic ring is a Solid Sterling Silver Setting has 10k gold vermeil accented sides with Hand Milgrained shoulder details. Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. The darker oil slick look in the side grooved details is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age. If you would like us to polish the ring further to remove this patina just let us know, it is no problem at all. Aside from a little gold detail wear this ring is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
This is an Antique 1920's Art Deco Men's Ring not a copy or reproduction.
