Up for sale is a find from a large collection of Turquoise pieces acquired at Auction, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural VERY RARE COLLAPSED SWIRLING ORANGE MATRIX Kingman Mine Turquoise Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Tricolor Yellow, Rose & Green Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Tricolor Yellow, Rose & Green Gold Men's Ring is set with a STUNNING 16x12mm VERY RARE COLLAPSED SWIRLING ORANGE Matrix Natural Kingman Turquoise cabochon. This Turquoise is natural and not color enhanced in any way. The Kingman mine in northwestern Arizona is one of the largest turquoise mines. Kingman blue is common, this Kingman is a SKY BLUE with an AMAZING VERY RARE COLLAPSED SWIRLING ORANGE Matrix not commonly found in most Kingman Turquoise. Natural Kingman is highly collectible. The pattern in this turquoise formed when water infiltrated the turquoise and then oxidized iron worked into the crevices. Then over time pressure collapsed the matrix packing the formations into this amazing pattern. Natural Kingman is highly collectible. In the late 1880’s to the early 1900’s, Kingman Turquoise was mined by the Aztec Turquoise Co., the Los Angeles Gem Co., Arizona Turquoise Co., Southwest Turquoise Co. and Mineral Park Turquoise Co. The Kingman mine re-opened in September 2004 after being closed in the 1970’s. This Turquoise is an Octagonal Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This turquoise is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, scratches, or chips. This Solid Sterling Silver Setting has great 10k Solid Tricolor Yellow, Rose, & Green Leaf & Grape Cluster Accents. Green Gold is a unique rare gold that is a bright yellow with a very slight green tint. This classic 1920's Art Deco ring also has great Hand Done Milgrain details around the bezel. Milgrain edging looks so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the edge resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. The darker oil slick look in the side ridged details is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age. We only lightly polished the ring and did not remove this patina. If you would like us to polish the ring further to remove this patina just let us know, it is no problem at all. Aside from some gold detail wear this ring is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
