This Antique 1920's Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Gold Ring is set with a FANTASTIC 16x14mm MULTICOLOR MOSAIC Turquoise gemstone. This Turquoise is a Cushion- Shaped Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and polished instead of being faceted. This turquoise is beautiful and is made up of small natural turquoise nuggets from different mines that have been bonded together under extreme pressure using a resin that contains crystalline natural pyrite giving the matrix a metallic shine. The Mosaic of Robin's Egg Blue Colors with the Golden Pyrite look wonderful in the Yellow Gold Setting. This old style Mosaic Turquoise ends up being more durable than solid turquoise and much more colorful. This turquoise is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any nicks, chips or breaks. The interior of the ring stamped "OB" which is the hallmark for Ostby & Barton an extremely collectible and sought after vintage brand. Ostby & Barton, Providence R.I. The business was established in 1879 by Englehart C. Ostby and Nathan B. Barton. Ostby perished in the Titanic disaster while his daughter Helen made it to a lifeboat and survived. The company went on to become one of the most famous jewelry companies in the world. Ostby & Barton Jewelry is now an extremely collectible and highly sought after vintage brand. This Solid Sterling Silver Setting has great 10k Gold Vermeil Accents with Classic 1920's Deco Raised Fluted Shoulder Details. The darker oil slick look in the details and recessed areas is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age. If you would like us to polish the ring further to remove this patina just let us know, it is no problem at all. This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
This is an Antique Ostby & Barton 1920's Art Deco Men's Ring not a copy or reproduction.
