Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco SIGNED Ostby & Barton UNIQUE COLOR SHIFT GREEN/BLUE to RAINBOW Natural Opal 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's SIGNED Ostby & Barton Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a FANTASTIC 12x10mm UNIQUE COLOR SHIFT GREEN/BLUE to RAINBOW Natural Triplet Opal Again this is opal has shifting ELECTRIC GREEN/BLUE to RAINBOW fire that is visible across the entire opal. This is one of the more beautiful opals we have had the opportunity to offer. Also the luster of this opal is marvelous. The fire in this unique opal shifts from ELECTRIC GREEN/BLUE to RAINBOW depending on the viewing angle and light source. As with all opals it is the most vivid in sunlight or full spectrum lighting. This is a triplet opal where the brightest genuine & natural solid opal is mounted on backing of onyx and then covered with a protective clear natural quartz crystal cap. We took quite a few photos of this stunning opal under different lighting conditions to give an idea of the abundance and brightness of the fire and where it occurs. The waves and swirls on the opal in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections as the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This Opal is an Octagonal Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This opal is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, scratches, or chips. The interior of the ring is also fully hallmarked with an "OB" which is the hallmark for Ostby & Barton an extremely collectible and sought after vintage brand. Ostby & Barton, Providence R.I.
