Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco TRUE RAINBOW Natural Opal 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a FANTASTIC 12mm TRUE RAINBOW (ELECTRIC GREEN FIRE, RED/ORANGE GOLDEN& BLUE/PURPLE FIRE) Triplet Opal. Again this is opal has TRUE RAINBOW fire that is visible across the opal. Also the luster of this opal is marvelous. Many opals only exhibit a couple of colors while this opal displays a RAINBOW of colors. As with all opals it is the most vivid in sunlight or full spectrum lighting. This is a triplet opal where the most colorful genuine & natural solid opal is mounted on backing of onyx and then covered with a protective clear natural quartz crystal cap. This Opal is a Domed Round Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. We took quite a few photos of this stunning opal under different lighting conditions to give an idea of the abundance and brightness of the fire and where it occurs. The waves and swirls on the opal in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections as the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This opal s in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, scratches, or chips. This classic 1920's Art Deco ring also has beautiful stacked shoulder details and a wide polished stepped bezel. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is fully hallmarked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold.
