Up for sale is a recent Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco SIGNED Ostby & Barton 5ct Window Pane Emerald Cut Ruby Hand Milgrained 10k Solid White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This Original Antique 1920's SIGNED Ostby & Barton Art Deco 10k Solid White Gold ring is set with an Amazing 5ct 12x10mm Ruby with the most Vibrant COLOR and SUPERB CLARITY & LUSTER. This ruby is an Unusual Window Pane Emerald Cut Ruby. An Emerald Cut is an octagonal cut with the corners cut at 45 degrees to protect them from damage. A window pane cut has a flat low profile top with a beautifully faceted underside. This keeps the gemstone low in the setting protecting it from damage. The gemstone tests as a ruby on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer but still could be a very high quality lab grown ruby. The gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural ruby as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown ruby. A Lab Grown Ruby has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Ruby meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. This Ruby is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. The interior of the ring is also fully hallmarked with an "OB" & Maltese Cross which are the hallmarks for Ostby & Barton an extremely collectible and sought after vintage brand.
