Up for sale is an Estate Auction find from a collection of hard to find inlay pieces, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Lapis Lazuli, Mother of Pearl & Onyx Intarsia Inlay 10k Solid White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid White Gold ring is set with a Stunning 14x12mm Natural Mother of Pearl & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay Gemstone. Intarsia inlay is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. This MALTESE CROSS GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART.. The white is mother of pearl with beautiful shimmering iridescent luster. Mother of pearl, also called nacre, is an iridescent natural layer of material which forms the shell lining of many mollusks (oysters, abalone, etc). The black gemstones are onyx. This inlay gemstone is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut on an onyx base Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This intarsia inlay gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, chips or breaks. This classic ring has beautiful fluted shoulder details. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished white gold.
