Up for sale is an Estate Auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Lapis Lazuli, Unakite, Tiger's Eye Malachite & Onyx Intarsia Inlay 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Beautiful LARGE 16x12mm Natural Lapis Lazuli, Malachite & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay Gemstone. Intarsia inlay is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. This GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. All the gemstones in this intarsia are both Genuine & Natural and guaranteed as such. The VIVID BLUE inlay is Natural Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using lapis based blues. This high quality Lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression. The deep green gemstones are Natural Malachite. Malachite has been carved into art and worn as jewelry for thousands of years. The lime green with pink accented gemstones are Unakite. Unakite is a pink and green metamorphic stone composed of pink orthoclase and green epidote. Unakite is named after the Unaka mountain range of western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. The golden brown gemstone is Natural Tiger's Eye. Tiger's Eye is a crystal with beautiful bands of yellow-golden color throughout. The black gemstones on the outer lower beveled edges is onyx. Also the base/back of the intarsia is onyx. This inlay gemstone is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut with Beautifully Beveled edges. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This intarsia gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, chips or breaks. This Classic 1920's Art Deco ring also has ornate column shoulder elements highlighted by Hand Engraved & Milgrained details. Milgrain edging looks so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded patterns is able to make the ring’s edge resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
