Up for sale is one of the more beautiful and unusual Cocktail Rings we have had the opportunity to offer, an Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural RAINBOW Solid Opal & RARE Persian Turquoise 14k Solid White Gold Filigree Cocktail RARE Reversible or Flip Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 14k Solid White Gold ring is set with a 15x7mm Natural TRUE RAINBOW Solid Opal with ELECTRIC GREEN/BLUE FIRE with areas of GOLDEN FIRE and RARE RED/ORANGE FIRE. Also the luster of this opal is marvelous. Many opals only exhibit a couple of colors while this opal displays the full spectrum of colors. As the photos show different colors are visible under different lighting conditions. As with all opals it is the most vivid in sunlight or full spectrum lighting. The color in this opal changes depending on the viewing angle. This All Natural Opal has not been treated or color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. We took quite a few photos of this opal under different lighting conditions to give an idea of the abundance and brightness of the fire and where it occurs. This Opal is an Elongated Octagonal Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This is a Natural Solid Opal not the more common and less valuable doublets or triplets. This ring is also set with a Beautiful 15x7mm Natural Persian Turquoise Gemstone. This high quality Persian turquoise is a RICH BLUE COLOR. Persian Turquoise of the highest quality is called Angushtari and has been mined in Iran formerly known as Persia for over 5,000 years. The luster on this turquoise is superb. This is all natural Turquoise that is not color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. This Turquoise is an Octagonal Flat Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This Turquoise is held securely by a complete bezel setting. This Opal and Turquoise are in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. This 14k Solid White Gold Setting is classic Art Deco and has great architectural elements and reticulated filigree details. The flip mechanism allows the gemstone bezel frame to flip to either gemstone giving you two different looks in one ring. This flip ring flips vertically which is unusual because most flip rings we have seen flip horizontally The flip mechanism is this ring is not loose and locks into place securely. This 14k Solid White Gold Setting has nice hand milgrained details highlighting the filigree. Milgrain edging looks so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded patterns is able to make the ring’s edge resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. This ring is fully hallmarked “14k” and tests as and is guaranteed to be14k solid gold.
