The Turquoise is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and is free of any breaks or cracks. This turquoise is held securely by a complete bezel setting The interior of the ring stamped "OB" which is the hallmark for Ostby & Barton an extremely collectible and sought after antique/vintage brand. Ostby & Barton, Providence R.I. The business was established in 1879 by Englehart C. Ostby and Nathan B. Barton. Ostby perished in the Titanic disaster while his daughter Helen made it to a lifeboat and survived. The company went on to become one of the most famous jewelry companies in the world. Ostby & Barton Jewelry is now an extremely collectible. This Solid Sterling Silver Setting has great 10k Yellow Gold Filled Shoulder Accents with Beautiful Hand Done Milgrain details around the bezel and down the shoulders. Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. The darker oil slick look in the details and recessed areas is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age. If you would like us to polish the ring further to remove this patina just let us know, it is no problem at all. Aside from some gold detail wear this ring is otherwise in GOOD CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
This is an Antique SIGNED Ostby & Barton 1920's Art Deco Men's Ring not a copy or reproduction.
