Up for sale is a find from a large collection of Turquoise pieces acquired at Auction, an Antique 1920's Art Deco SIGNED Ostby & Barton Natural RARE RED SPIDERWEB MATRIX Kingman Mine Turquoise Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This HEAVY 8.5 Gram (0.30 Ounce) Almost 1/3 Ounce Antique 1920's Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Gold Ring is set with a Beautiful LARGE 19x13mm RARE RED SPIDERWEB Matrix Natural Kingman Turquoise cabochon. The top of this ring is quite large at just over 1 inch long. This Turquoise is natural and not color enhanced in any way. The Kingman mine in northwestern Arizona is one of the largest turquoise mines. Kingman blue is common, this Kingman is an OCEAN BLUE/GREEN with an AMAZING RARE RED SPIDERWEB Matrix not commonly found in most Kingman Turquoise. Natural Kingman is highly collectible. In the late 1880’s to the early 1900’s, Kingman Turquoise was mined by the Aztec Turquoise Co., the Los Angeles Gem Co., Arizona Turquoise Co., Southwest Turquoise Co. and Mineral Park Turquoise Co. The Kingman mine re-opened in September 2004 after being closed in the 1970’s. This Turquoise is a Domed Elongated Cushion-Shaped Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This turquoise is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, scratches, or chips. The interior of the ring stamped "OB" which is the hallmark for Ostby & Barton an extremely collectible and sought after vintage brand. Ostby & Barton, Providence R.I.
