Up for sale is a recent auction find, an Antique 1920's Art Deco RARE Belais Brothers of New York Masonic Symbol Set with an Antique Cut Diamond & Two Sapphires 10k Solid White Gold Men's Pinky Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Original Antique 1920's Art Deco RARE Belais Brothers of New York 10k Solid White Gold Ring has an expertly bead set 2mm Natural & Genuine Antique Cut Diamond bezel set in a white gold mount. The diamond mount is at the top of the Square & Compass Symbol. The Square is set with two 2.5x0.5mm Natural & Genuine Blue Sapphires. The sapphire are beautifully scissor faceted baguettes with superb color. The diamond is a antique single cut diamond with a tall table and a round girdle and no culet facet. A single cut diamond has 16 to 18 facets. This type of single cut is an early diamond cut dating to the 19th and early 20th century. The reason for the diamond to be cut in this manner is so that the light is brought in at such an angle that the vision which those gazing upon the diamond perceive is one of brilliance and fire. This diamond has very nice color and clarity and is guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. As far as clarity it is conservatively in the VS range because we can see no visible inclusions using a 10x loupe. As far as color it is hard to say because it is mounted in white gold mount so our best estimate is that it is in the K-L range. This Diamond and both sapphires are in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This classic Art Deco ring also features ornate shoulder and octagonal bezel details. The interior of the ring is marked with the maker's mark "BELAIS" which is the hallmark for Belais Brothers Jewelry of New York an extremely collectible and sought after vintage brand.
