Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique SIGNED GOTHIC DRAGON MOTIF Kinsley & Sons 1930's Late Period Art Deco VERY RARE Natural Gold in Quartz Turquoise Inlay Intarsia & Diamond Hand Milgrained 10k Yellow & White Two-Tone Solid Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This ring is hallmarked “GOTHIC” which is the mark used by Kinsley & Sons established in 1917. This Antique 1930's Late Period Art Deco 10k Yellow & White Two-Tone Solid Gold ring is set with a 13mm (longest edge) x 12mm (widest point) FANTASTIC UNUSUAL VERY RARE Natural Gold in Quartz & Natural Turquoise Intarsia Inlay Gemstone. Intarsia is made by precise fitting together of flat polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit.
Gold Bearing Quartz: This gold bearing quartz is all natural and guaranteed as such. This natural quartz has Bright Gleaming Seams of Gold with Very Nice Saturation and Coverage. Gold Bearing Quartz is one of the world's rarest forms of natural gold. Specimens of native gold in quartz are rare because the previous miners crushed and smelted all of the gold ore that they mined, many fine specimens were processed and lost It is found underground by hard rock miners in only a handful of locations in the world. Most of the world's production comes from a few mines in Northern California. This unique formation of very difficult to find small pockets of GOLD in QUARTZ is being mined 1500 to 3000 feet below the earth's surface. The natural veins of gold were formed with the by hydrothermal pressure deep within the earth millions of years ago.
Turquoise: The vertical inlaid gemstone is Natural Robin's Egg Blue Turquoise. This is all natural Turquoise that is not color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such.
Diamond: This ring also features a single 2mm Natural & Genuine Diamond expertly bead set in an elaborate white gold mount in the corner next to the intarsia gemstone. This is not a simple diamond chip but a very nice round faceted diamond. As far as clarity it is in the VS range because we can see no visible inclusions using a 10x loupe. As far as color it is hard to say because it is mounted in a white gold reflective mount so our best estimate is that it is in the K-L range. The diamond is guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. This Ornate ring features beautiful hand done milgrain highlighting the diamond mount. Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery.
The entire Intarsia Gemstone is an Unusual Curved Triangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The Gold in Quartz and Diamond are in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION absolutely free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This Classic 1930's Late Period Art Deco ring has a very ornate design and beautifully cast details with an Elaborate Dragon head on both sides. The interior of the ring is hallmarked "Gothic" which is the hallmark which indicates it was manufactured in St. Louis by Kinsley & Sons which was founded in 1917.
