Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find that is a true work of art, a VERY RARE Antique SIGNED BELAIS of New York 1920's Art Deco Natural Lapis Lazuli Malachite Opal Serpentine Agate & Onyx Intarsia Inlay Hand Engraved & Milgrained 10k Solid White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid White Gold ring is set with a Beautiful LARGE 20x15mm Natural Lapis Lazuli Jasper Malachite Opal Serpentine & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay. Intarsia inlay is made by precise fitting together of polished gemstones into a single multi gemstone unit. This GEMSTONE is a TRUE WORK of ART. The green center gemstone is Natural Malachite. Malachite has been carved into art and worn as jewelry for thousands of years. The top of this ring is quite large at just under 1 inch long. The VIVID BLUE inlay is Natural Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli was once used to manufacture blue artistic paints before 1834. Many of the worlds masterpieces we painted using lapis based blues. This high quality Lapis is only found in Afghanistan and Egypt. Many ancient cultures believed that lapis enhanced self-expression. The light pink peach gemstones are Peruvian opal. This gemstone is mined in the Andes Mountains of Peru. Pink opal is formed by bubbling water near volcanic ash that dissolves the silica and forms in pink nodules from the heat of the volcanic activity. The white gemstones are white agate. The light yellow gemstones are Natural Serpentine. Serpentine is derived from minerals created from lower temperature metamorphic process combining heat and water creating the plate-like patterns that look like snake scales. The inner black rectangular inlay is black onyx. The entire intarsia inlay gemstone is on a base of onyx. This inlay intarsia gemstone is an Oval Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The entire intarsia gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks or scratches. This Classic Art Deco ring has Beautifully Ornate Hand Engraved & Milgrained shoulder details. Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin.
