Up for sale is a recent find from a large collection of Turquoise pieces acquired at Auction, an Antique 1930's Late Period Art Deco RARE Kingman Mine Birdseye Water Web Natural Turquoise Hand Milgrained Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Yellow Gold Ladies Cocktail Ring. This Antique 1930's Late Period Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Yellow Gold Ladies Cocktail Ring is set with a Beautiful 10x8mm RARE Kingman Mine Birdseye Water Web Natural Turquoise Gemstone. This is all natural Turquoise that is not color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. The Kingman mine in northwestern Arizona is one of the largest turquoise mines. Kingman blue is common, this Kingman is the very RARE Birdseye variety with hints of ORANGE color. The matrix pattern known as Birdseye or Water Web is beautiful and highly prized. In the late 1880’s to the early 1900’s, Kingman Turquoise was mined by the Aztec Turquoise Co., the Los Angeles Gem Co., Arizona Turquoise Co., Southwest Turquoise Co. and Mineral Park Turquoise Co. The Kingman mine re-opened in September 2004 after being closed in the 1970’s. This Turquoise is an Octagonal Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This turquoise is in MINT PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. This classic ring is Solid Sterling Silver Setting has 10k Yellow gold vermeil accented sides. This classic ring also has great Hand Done milgrain line details low on the shoulders. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble embroidery. The darker oil slick look in the side grooved details is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age. If you would like us to polish the ring further to remove this patina just let us know, it is no problem at all. This ring does have some gold detail wear but is otherwise in GOOD CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
