EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION

Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, an Antique SIGNED GOTHIC Kinsley & Sons Late Period Art Deco Natural COLOR SHIFT Opal & Genuine Diamond 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This ring is stamped “GOTHIC” the trademark used by Kinsley & Sons established in 1917. This Antique 1930's Late Period Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold ring is set with a FANTASTIC 12mm (longest edge) x 10mm (bottom edge) Natural Opal. This opal has an Amazing Color Shift from ELECTRIC GREEN FIRE to RARE ORANGE/RED/GOLDEN FIRE. This all Natural Opal possesses depth of color that is very nice. This Amazing All Natural Opal has not been treated or color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. The fire in this opal changes depending on the viewing angle. This is a doublet opal where the brightest genuine & natural solid opal is mounted on a natural backing giving the opal additional stability and durability. We took quite a few photos of this stunning opal under different lighting conditions to give an idea of the abundance and brightness of the fire and where it occurs. The waves and swirls on the opal in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections as the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This Opal is an Unusual Curved Triangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This ring is also set with a Single 1.5mm Natural & Genuine Diamonds that are bead set in a white gold mount in the corner next to the opal. This diamond is guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. Aside from a tiny nick on one edge this opal is otherwise in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION free of any breaks, chips, cracks, or scratches. The diamond is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This Classic 1930's Late Period Art Deco ring has Great Ornate details in both shoulders and around the opal. This ring has a beautiful milgrain pattern highlighting the triangular diamond mount. Milgrain edging is a beaded pattern that resembles the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. This ring is stamped on the interior band "PAT.No. 93830" go to the Google Patents site and search for "USD93830" see the Original November 13, 1934 hand drawn patent for this ring done by Felix P. Kinsey. See photo #4 to see an image of the original hand drawn patent. This very ornate detailed 10k Yellow ring is hallmarked "Gothic" & has a "K" in a sideways diamond which indicates it was manufactured in St. Louis by Kinsley & Sons which was founded in 1917. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is fully hallmarked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.

This ring is stamped “GOTHIC” & "Kinsley" the trademarks used by Kinsley & Sons which was founded in 1917.
