Up for sale is a find from a large collection of Turquoise pieces acquired at Auction, an Antique Victorian RARE Natural Persian Turquoise Hand Engraved 14k Solid Rose Gold Ladies Cocktail Ring Dating to c1890 in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Antique Victorian 14k Solid Rose Gold Ladies Cocktail Gold ring is set with a Fantastic 13.5x10mm RARE Natural Persian Turquoise Gemstone. This high quality Persian turquoise is a RICH BLUE COLOR Persian Turquoise of the highest quality with no markings or matrix is called Angushtari and has been mined in Iran formerly known as Persia for over 5,000 years. The finest quality turquoise in the world comes from the mountainous range near the district of Nichapur, Iran. This area has been mined for centuries and most Persian Turquoise has been marketed at Mashhad and exported to Russia and India in the past centuries. Prior to World War I turquoise was Iran’s most important industry with over one hundred turquoise mines. After World War II the output declined and almost ceased after the revolution. The luster on this turquoise is superb. This is all natural Turquoise that is not color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. This Turquoise is a Curved Cabochon Cut. The curve of the turquoise follows the curve of the ring beautifully. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This Turquoise Gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, scratches or breaks. This ring features Beautifully Hand Engraved Shoulder Details. This ring is a comfortable solid back design. The recessed hole is the back is common in this type of setting and was used to set an initial in the gemstone if desired. darker oil slick look in the side grooved details is the natural patina of the ring that only comes with age.
