Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, a Vintage 1940's 6ct Unusual Peaked Cut GOLDEN YELLOW SAPPHIRE 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Vintage 1940's 10k Solid Yellow Gold Ring is set with a Beautiful 6ct 12x10mm Golden Yellow Sapphire with amazing GOLDEN YELLOW COLOR and NICE CLARITY. This sapphire has AMAZING LUSTER. This sapphire is an Unusual Rectangular Peaked Cut with parallel facets that really sparkle in the light. The gemstone tests as a sapphire on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer but still could be a very high quality lab grown sapphire. This gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural sapphire as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown sapphire. A Lab Grown Sapphire has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Sapphire meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. The waves and swirls on the sapphire in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections because the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This sapphire is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. The shoulders of the setting feature hand done brushed details. This ring has bracketed setting designed to allow light into the sapphire. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold.
