Up for sale is a recent Estate auction find, a Vintage 1940's LARGE 10ct Ruby Cabochon 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This Vintage 1940's 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Beautiful LARGE 10ct 14x12mm Ruby with amazing DEEP RED COLOR and NEAR PERFECT CLARITY. This ruby has FANTASTIC LUSTER. This ruby is an oval smooth top Cabochon Cut and really catches the light. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The gemstone tests as a ruby on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer and is most likely very high quality lab grown ruby. This gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural ruby as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown ruby. A Lab Grown Ruby has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Ruby meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant. The waves and swirls on the ruby in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections because the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This Ruby is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This ring also features great textured shoulder details divided by a ridged column. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is marked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
