Up for sale is a recent Estate Auction find, a Vintage 1940's Antique Cut Diamond & Onyx 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Original Vintage 1940's 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Ring is set with a 14x12mm Octagonal Onyx Gemstone. This black onyx gemstone has been drilled and a Beautiful 2.5mm Natural & Genuine Antique Single Cut Diamond has been expertly set in a white gold mount and peen set into the drilled Onyx gemstone. This type of antique single cut diamond has a larger table and a round girdle and no culet facet. A single cut diamond has 16 to 18 facets. This type of single cut is an early diamond cut dating to the 19th and early 20th century. The reason for the diamond to be cut in this manner is so that the light is brought in at such an angle that the vision which those gazing upon the diamond perceive is one of brilliance and fire. This diamond has very nice color and clarity and is guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. As far as clarity it is in the SI range. As far as color it is hard to say because it is mounted in white gold mount so our best estimate is that it is in the J-K range. Aside from a few tiny scratches the Onyx is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, or cracks. The Diamond is in in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any scratches, chips, nicks, or cracks. This classic ring has great stepped shoulders. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.
