Up for sale is a recent Auction find, a Vintage 1940's SIGNED DASON Davidson & Sons of New York RARE Natural Chrysoprase Sodalite Tiger's Eye Red Jasper & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This ring is stamped "DASON" the trademark used by Davidson & Sons, New York established in 1936. This Vintage 1940's SIGNED DASON Davidson & Sons of New York 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Beautiful 14x10mm Natural Chrysoprase Sodalite Tiger's Eye Red Jasper & Onyx RARE Intarsia Inlay. The blue stripes are Sodlite. Sodalite is a natural, rock forming mineral that is typically royal blue but can appear blue-violet. The crystal can be found from magmas which are rich in sodium. It is sometimes confused with Lapis Lazuli. The golden brown/yellow gemstone is Natural Tiger's Eye. Tiger's Eye is a crystal with beautiful bands of yellow-golden color throughout. The red gemstone is Red Jasper. The red color comes from oxidized iron deposits in the silica based gem. The green stripe is Chrysoprase. Chrysoprase was called the stone of Venus and is the rarest and most valuable rich apple-green gemstone in the chalcedony family and was often mistaken for emeralds by ancient jewelers. Chrysoprase was used by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians to make seals, signets, jewelry and other ornamental objects because of its vivid color. The black divider stripes are onyx. This inlay gemstone is an Oval Cabochon Cut on an Onyx base. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This intarsia gemstone is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, chips or breaks. Again this ring is stamped "DASON" the trademark used by Davidson & Sons, New York established in 1936. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold.
