Up for sale is an Estate Auction find, a Vintage 1950's Natural Chrysoprase Sodalite Unakite Vesuvianite RARE Intarsia Inlay 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This Vintage 1950's 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Beautiful 12x10mm Natural Chrysoprase Sodalite Unakite Vesuvianite RARE Intarsia Inlay. The center blue stripe is Sodlite. Sodalite is a natural, rock forming mineral that is typically royal blue but can appear blue-violet. The crystal can be found from magmas which are rich in sodium. It is sometimes confused with Lapis Lazuli. The two maroon stripes are Unakite. Unakite, sometimes known as unakite jasper, is a form of jasper that includes pieces of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and quartz crystals.Unakite was first discovered in the 1800's in he Unakas Mountains, a part of the Appalachian Mountains in the United States, which is where the stone gets its name.The vivid green stripes are Chrysoprase. Chrysoprase was called the stone of Venus and is the rarest and most valuable rich apple-green gemstone in the chalcedony family and was often mistaken for emeralds by ancient jewelers. Chrysoprase was used by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians to make seals, signets, jewelry and other ornamental objects because of its vivid color. The outer yellow/green stripes are Vesuvianite. Vesuvianite is named after Mt. Vesuvius in Italy, the famous volcano where it was originally described. This inlay gemstone is a Cushion-Shaped Cabochon Cut..
