Up for sale is a recent auction find, a Vintage 1950's LARGE 4.5ct Oval Natural Ametrine Hand Engraved Florentine 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in MINT PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION. This Vintage 1950's 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring is set with a Fantastic LARGE 4.5ct12x10mm NATURAL OVAL AMETRINE that is a LILAC PURPLE COLOR and a GOLDEN YELLOW COLOR. It has superb clarity and luster. Bicolored quartz with the purple color of amethyst and the golden yellow color of citrine in the same gem is called ametrine or amethyst-citrine. The color transition in ametrine reflects slight fluctuations in temperature and pressure during its formation. Since Ametrine has only been available from Bolivia for use in jewelry for about 50 years. This 1950's ring most likely had a different gemstone that was later replaced with this ametrine. This AMETRINE is an oval that is beautifully faceted. This Ametrine is both Genuine & Natural and has not been clarity enhanced and is guaranteed as such. This ametrine is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION and is free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This classic ring also has fantastic fluted shoulder details that are hand engraved with a Florentine finish. A Florentine finish is a hand engraved textured surface consisting if tiny intersecting sets of parallel lines. The dark areas on the gold in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections due to the difficulty in photographing the highly polished gold. This ring is marked "10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k Solid Gold.
